I’d like to give someone all the necessary tools so that they can bake baguettes at home. I’ve done some research, but am wondering if anyone has recommendations. I’d love a kit that’s already put together but I’m not finding anything other than KAFlour’s kit which is kind of meh (to me).
Thanks! |
| I use flour, water, yeast and an oven. |
| The problem is household ovens don’t get hot enough to get the really satisfying crust on a baguette. You can make them, but it will never be as good as a commercial bakery oven. |
But what tools? A baguette pan or just a baking stone? |
I bake baguettes at least once a week. Probably not the best ones, but they work for me anyway, I'd recommend a baguette pan and a lame as tools. She probably already has a pizza stone at home. Also, maybe a nice linen cloth for covering the bread when it's rising, and/or a bread bag for storing he bread once it's baked.
