We never use the oven for conventional baking. We use it frequently for roasting vegetables, chicken nuggets, etc. we use the microwave a lot for heating, steaming and cooking. Our current stove is a 4 burner and really is too small to use more than 2 burners at any given time.
Ideally I would like an induction/electric stove and some sort of Microwave/convection oven/toaster combo. No need for the regular gas oven that sits underneath the stove. What combination of gadgets can I buy to make this happen. Kitchen is a small galley kitchen so counter space is limited, kid is 10 yo, no budget. |
| Get an induction range w an air fry oven. If counter space is at a premium, get an oven w features that work better for you than a counter combi appliance. With induction, you can quickly reheat food the same way you would in a microwave, and the air fry will do great for the kinds of things you cook. I have a 30in range and can still have all 4 burners going. |
Smart. Gas stoves are immoral. |
| I love my Breville convection/air fryer/toaster oven. I rarely use my full-size oven anymore. They make a version that includes a microwave. When my microwave dies, I’ll get one of those and put it on the shelf where the microwave is now & reclaim the counter space. |
