Best dip and salsa recipes?

I’ve never made dip! Any ideas that are tried and true?

This is for a mid day work potluck party with a focus on salsa/dip and chips/pita/bread. I can put the dish in the fridge and pull out for party, but it will have to be ok sitting out during the party for a 2-3 hours. Someone already claimed caramel sauce, hummus, onion dip, and guacamole - I was going to just buy one of these at the store lol.

Oh and someone already claimed chips and regular salsa.

Are you near a Wegmans? Get the cannoli dip from the dessert area.

I would get that Zhoug sauce from TJ. Very different and a hit.

Is this a dip party??

I second the buffalo chicken dip, keep it in a crock pot on warm.

I think there may be other food but it’s mostly salsa, spreads and dips. I’ve never heard of a dip party. Is that a real thing? I thought it was weird when people said spreads only.

Maybe queso if you can use a crock pot? Or a yogurt dip for fruit for something different.

Go to Trader Joe's and buy an olive tapenade or their roasted eggplant dip. Provide crackers or baguette slices.

Baba ganoush is easy to make, and there are roasted red pepper and walnut dips too.

This is yummy and you can skip the parsley so super easy to throw together! I like to keep the canned beans in my pantry so I can whip it up whenever needed. Great to dip pita chips or fresh veggies.

I won’t start my own thread but came on here to ask about people favorite dips. I’m going to a Super Bowl bring your own dip competition party. I need to win!

I make a mango black bean salsa that people like.
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 jalapeño, diced (or to taste, remove the seeds)
1 small red onion, diced
1 ripe mango, peeled and diced, adding as much juice as possible (squeeze the pit over the bowl after cutting off as much flesh as possible)
Juice of 1 lime
Salt and pepper
Optional: handful of chopped cilantro

Combine all ingredients and let sit in fridge for a few hours for everything to mix together. Serve with tortilla chips.
