Title says it all. These have ended up in my pantry. What would you suggest?
I think they are meant to be eaten cold from an hors d'oeuvres plate? But I don't care for cold mushrooms so personally I'd put them in a chicken dish.
Pickled mushrooms can be great in pasta, pizza, tacos, mushroom pate, omelets, etc.
Toss them?
Great in salads
Pizza! I would have eaten them already.
With steak.
Just crack a beer and get to work!

OMG I have a (half) jar of these in my fridge, too!
My Hungarian dinner guest and friend said people eat them as part of grilled cheeses... Sounds good to me! |
Add to a risotto or pasta dish, pasta salad, etc.
I’d slice them thin and put them on pizza with cooked peppers and onions, sprinkle parm on top.

We do big salads in my family.
Sometimes with pizza which would look like: lettuce, cucumber, pepper, tomato, marinated mushrooms, kalamata olives, red wine vinaigrette, shaved parm. Sometimes serve-yourself antipasto platters, which are: sliced salami, pepperoni, provolone, mozzarella, marinated artichokes/peppers/mushrooms, olives of all kinds, pepperoncini, some sliced bell peppers and cucumbers and tomatoes, all drizzled with garlic olive oil and balsamic glaze...might have a bowl of lettuce and more dressing on the side (could be vinaigerette, creamy italian, or both). Both of the above work with pizza or pastas or perhaps garlic bread if you are a light eater or just having a famly meal. For Christmas we tend to do the big platter with lasagna or stuffed shells and garlic bread. |
Personally? I'd eat them straight out of the jar and probably all in one sitting.
