Would you switch daycare for the last four months

My DS is at a daycare that has been ok; nothing amazing about it but easy logistics. We enrolled it as our previous daycare closed due to COVID. We will move DS to a different school for pre-K in September and probably take a summer off to travel.

My three years old DS is one of 3-4 kids in her class (very small class but they play with toddlers). She is the oldest and I think she would benefit from having more interaction with older kids. Last week we were told that her favorite teacher will switch schools and a different teacher (from her previous class) would move up.

We could potentially move her ta different daycare that worked great with our other kid, with a bit more complicated logistics. Is it worth it for the last four months? My worry is that she is not socializing enough with her peers, but she seems happy to play almost alone… my worry is preK will be a major shock for her…

I wouldn’t move for such a short time unless there were glaring problems in your current daycare.

Complicated logistics is a no-go for me. Convenience is a huge premium

I would not jump through a million hoops for a few months. I'd look at a weekend class/activity with kids her age if you want more socialization. But lots of kids start pre-K at 4 with no prior care setting and do fine!

Thank you. No major issues, but just finally admitted to my self that I put premium on my logistic over a possibly better daycare. Good idea to find something over weekends.
