Versailles in manssas

Too bland, I prefer at least some personality

OK, honestly? I love that this person knows what they like and doesn't just paint their whole house gray and buy some pottery barn crap.

it sold, so someone else was digging it.

I looked at the exterior pics and thought why such the bad review? Then saw inside and Wowza!

Me too!!
I wouldn't want to live there, but I kind of desperately want to be friends with the person who does. And the floors are gorgeous.

I understand why it's wrong, but I kinda like it. If i bought it, you might hear excuse after excuse as to why i had yet to begin renovating it.

Anyone else look at this and have the theme music to White Lotus start playing in their head?

I also like it - its very different. I think it’s sad the sellers are moving because it seems like the place has a lot of their personality in it

It just won Ugliest House in America on HGTV.
There was a thread on this house last summer but I can’t find it.

Haha. I love it here in Manassas. That said, it’s just very specific. Mostly not ugly per se, just specific and out of fashion.

Have to say i was not a fan of the renovation work done inside or outside by that windy city rehab lady. The floors especially, and the kitchen. Ugly stairs too.

I guess I don’t mind the renovation, but it does remind me of a model home. And the stained glass monogram is super duper not my style.

I didn’t like the home before but it makes me kinda sad to imagine someone doing all that work to personalize a home just to have it named “ugliest home in America.”

Glad the family got the makeover they wanted though. That would have been expennnnsive.
