How many states have had tryout already? It can’t be that many out of 50.

San Diego Surf was the main one I believe.

Senior girls in NC have had tryouts and solidified bids. What other states? Surely they can readjust accordingly

ECNL can have up to 29 players per team, so it is not an issue to add 4/5 Q3/Q4 players if needed.

My daughter is a 2011, Q4 ECNL player. She will be trapped in the fall of 2025 and will be playing with 2012’s. It doesn’t make much sense then to the go back to the 2011 team next spring and once again have to go back to the 2012 team in the fall of 2026. Many are hoping ECNL makes an exception for the soon to be trapped players starting in the spring of 2026 to allow.

What happens if your club moves to GA and different rules like biobanding? This could get really messy if most of dc goes GA

Even if nothing changes for 25, at least there shouldn't be any stigma at all to those 2 players rostered in the fall. It was a huge issue before at some clubs.

I'm still thinking ECNL is delaying to address this specifically.

So 1 state CA? Or a couple teams? If that is the case it wouldn’t be a hold up if they wanted to transition to SY.

I have only seen that Surf had tryouts and it was for 2016-2011's. They also just partnered with the new MLS San Diego team, I don't know how much of an effect that will have as I imagine they will want to create an academy for the boys.

Maybe ECNL can allow 10-15 players to "play down" if born 9/1 to 12/31. At every age group. We're not changing the registration years - just bio-banding.

I honestly wouldn't rule that out.

All of Southern California (at least - maybe Northern too).

They took the one with the US Soccer reps off the platform. I listened to it originally and then I went back to listen again and it was gone. Kind weird.
