What the heck happened to Fontaine’s in Old Town Alexandria???

We have been going to Fontaine’s since it opened even though it is quite a hike for us now. The past year has been difficult for us, so we only made it there once in the past year. The day we we always go is New Year’s Day.

The food was OK was lacking. Bellini’s were dirty like they used the juice from the peach can, carmelized peaches also seems directly from the can and not carmelized at all, the quirky, cozy dining room atmosphere is gone and replaced by outdoor furniture, the staff paid little attention to the customers (we overheard 3 tables complaining), etc.

I’m assuming the original owner sold. If so, when? I could find nothing online. If not, she needs to get involved again.

The experience left us all feeling empty/sad that an era as we had so many good times there especially on NYD. None of us talked about it yesterday but today everyone in our family has made a comment about it today.
