20-30K used SUV with 3rd row? What do you like?

I've been looking at VW Tiguan. I think an old BMW X5 would be nice, but it's out of my price range for mileage under 60k. Any other thoughts about models I should check out? Prefer a car that's "fun to drive" and not massive, but I don't need it to be a name brand. Ideally less than 60k miles and not older than a 2015.

Mazda CX-9. I love the CX-5 and would get the 9 if I needed a 3rd row.

FYI, an X5 isn’t a third row. You need the x7.

I have a Tiguan. The third row is extremely tight and the car is not fun to drive (acceleration sucks)

I have a 2018 Tiguan which I do like to drive. I agree that the third row is tight. I bought it because only the smallest vehicles with third rows (like the discontinued Nissan Rogue with third row) will fit in our 100 year old garage. FWIW I test drove the Nissan back then and while the third row was less cramped, it meant the backseat was cramped. There's only so much you can do to configure three rows in that much space.

Plus my kids were in early elementary when I bought it. It's basically like having a five seater that you squeeze two extra people into uncomfortably if you have to. That's really all I need -- the occasional extra seat for bringing a kid to a birthday party.

But again, I do like driving it. I've never noticed that the acceleration wasn't good; yes, my husband's Audi SQ5 is zippier but I would be shocked if it weren't.

My husband and I just traded in his Tacoma and now owe about $32000 on a 2023 Telluride. Not sure if you have a trade in, but posting this that you can get new for about that amount if so (and we’re really enjoying it so far).
