DS will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and I still can not get on my wedding rings and the joints in my fingers really hurt too. I am 40 years old, so I suppose it could potentially be arthritis that was kicked off due to the pregnancy - although I didn't have any problems until a just before I gave birth (if I recall correctly). With my DD (who is now almost 2 and a half) I was able to wear my wedding rings although they were a bit snug even when I delivered (but it was in February vs. May).
Any insight would be most helpful. I am considering calling my GP office to see what they have to say since this is really bugging me. Balling my hands up into a fist hurts like heck and God forbid that I have to open a jar or something, it's awful. Thanks! CK |

Two thoughts:
-- You should have your Vitamin D checked. It sounds like you might have a deficiency. -- You should have your thryoid checked. You might be having thyroid problems. |
| go see your doc, could be pregnancy related autoimmune disorder (like arthritis). this happened to a colleague after she had a baby (similar joint issues, plus other weird stuff), it was eventually resolved, but she was on steroids for a while. |
