Gift for 1 1/2 yr old that loves crafts

Anonymous
My 1 1/2 yr niece is coming to visit - looking for ideas for a craft related gift. She has basic markers and paints. Something that she can use while visiting or that I (or my teen daughter) can do with her would be great. Thanks!

Dot markers
Pipe cleaners
Rolls of different colored tape
Play dough if she doesn’t have it yet
Stamps and ink
Large roll of paper you can cut and tape to the wall like a mural - Dollar Tree has this
Clear contact paper and tissue paper to make faux stained glass

If she puts stuff in her mouth you could make edible play dough

Puzzles, playdoh, colored paper and glue or tape.

Giant beads to string. They beads need to be big enough not to be choking hazards.

Paint sticks and big paper.

My 17 month old likes to take a brush, dip it in water, and "paint" construction paper. I bought her Lovevery's block set for Christmas, but she doesn't really understand it yet. She also likes the bead and string toy from Lovevery's "Adventurer" kit but can only string one bead. She has these crayons, which are annoying because when she draws, waxy chunks come off sometimes, and they don't draw very well. But it's beeswax so hopefully better for her health than Crayola. And she LOVES carrying the crayons in their tray and sending them down her slide. She puts other toys down her slide too but something about the tray of crayons really makes her laugh. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B5L1CCHM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Unless your kid is eating the crayons, I wouldn’t worry about them being bad for her health.

I would do water wow books or a big water painting mat for an 18 month old. Everything else is likely to be really messy.

Really unsafe for a kid under 3.
