Do you keep it clear? If so what's your tip for keeping it clutter free?
If you have items on top? What specifically? Does it still accumulate clutter? For reference my dresser is probably 4ft tall, and it's long, so there's lots of surface area. I've tried decor, the minimalist (jewelry box), completely clear...none of it works for me. It's always a big eye sore/dumping ground/dust collector. |

I have a pretty candle, and a pic of the kids. It sits below our TV, so we also have our Sonos speaker there.
|
| I have a clock, a picture frame and a lamp. Maybe a tray with a bowl (to hold smaller things) could help you to keep stuff corralled. |

Mine: Dish with keys and spare change, pic DS made in preschool.
DW's: Everything she's ever owned. |
| A vase of fresh flowers. |

My dresser has a wedding photo, picture of the kids, an antique pitcher full of extra change, and a small dish that holds a couple little things.
DH's dresser is always a mess - pile of clothes that he never puts away, old boxes, etc. I've learned to ignore it. |
| I have issues with this! I keep some nice holders for jewelry and hair ties on it, thinking that would stop me from putting clothes on it that I haven’t put away yet, but no dice. It still has clothes in it the majority of the time. I think I’m going to put a chair in there so that clothes can go on that instead and the dresser can stay looking nice. |
| My mattress. |

Clean clothes I never put away
|
| Lamp, fresh flowers, jewelry box. |

Daytime: cashmere blanket that goes on bed at night
Nighttime: long decorative pillow, which is on the bed during the day |
| You have to train yourself to put it all away before climbing into bed at night. There's not really another solution that keeps it from being a dumping ground. |
Oh I like this. I usually pile the extra pillows on the floor, but the dresser would work better. Yes, everything I own ends up there. Including drop offs from my husband and kids as they see fit. It's definitely one of my problem areas. |
| Dirty clothes. It's the way station between me and the laundry bag. |
| Charging cables. I am the gadget master. |
