hi,
I'm going to have a little girl in late June.I'm wondering: what kind of clothing I need to take the baby out of the hospital? is dress ok?or do I need something else? Thanks

You may want some thing with feet...just for comfort. And a receiving blanket.

Honestly? Bring the kid home in the t-shirt, hat and diaper the hospital will provide. Unless you're expecting a lot of paparazzi.

Anything you want! Make sure to have a blanket and socks are definitley a good idea (air conditioning in car - esp in the summer) and outside of that... whatever you think will make you happy. My mom suprised us with a going home outfit - a one piece romper that turned out to have a zillion snaps. The video of my husband and I trying to figure out how to put it on her is priceless and we still laugh about it today - not to mention that she was only 5 1/2 pounds and the 0-3 month size my mom got was HUGE on her. Needless to say, she looked adorable and we had fun.

Our son was 5 lbs. 3 oz., the clothes we brought with us didn't fit! We had no choice, he had to wear what we brought, but he was drowning in what he had on. I say, bring something easy to put on and off. She'll be wrapped up anyway, no one will see what she has on.

I agree; bring something that's easy to put on and off. However, I'd suggest making it a cute outfit if you plan to take "going home" pictures. Of course, I'm sure your baby will be cute regardless of what she's wearing.

The hospital may not let you take the t-shirt and blankets - ours didn't - a little surprising. I agree with the footed sleeper. You may also want to bring your own t-shirt with the side snaps (avoid umbilical cord) and some little pants so that the car seat does not chafe her.

I would just recommend something warmish and covers her up because I found the hospital cold, and car, and my little one was cold even in the warm outside. Then he also spit up all over everything pretty quickly too, so I know with #2 i am not going to worry about the clothes themselves so much!
Good luck!
