How do you get your sheets smelling good?

Any tips on washing my sheets to getting them to smell fresh/good?

It would help if you told us what you're currently using/doing.
I use Tide With Ultra Oxi, and Clorox Laundry Sanitizer. |

I hate scents, so for me it’s just hot water, oxiclean and unscented tide. 100% cotton sheets. They smell like fresh nothing.
If your sheets are not 100% cotton, I mean, get cotton sheets. But otherwise you might need to deploy hex or a similar “sport” detergent because oil and bacteria may be clinging to the synthetic fiber. Even if you want to add a scent, you need to start with getting them clean. If you DO want to add a fragrance, check with your partner! Some perfectly wonderful people wash everything in scented detergent and I would be physically ill and miserable, which is why I think it’s genetic. Like tasting cilantro. So even if you like scents, consider any other people who sleep in your bed. I got second hand kid clothes washed in something scented and I literally had to put them in ziplocks until I could soak them in vinegar for 24 hours and I can STILL smell the perfume and gag a little bit every time. That stuff is no joke. |

| I use tide detergent, baking powder and oxyclean. Then I wash on the hottest setting. All my bed linen, my towels and bath mats are white. I do not worry about them fading. Smells like sunshine. |

| I prefer unscented detergent, unscented liquid softener, and hot water wash. They come out smelling like water and I like that smell. |

| To each their own, but I love a light scent on my sheets. I know laundress is going through some issues but I love their le labo scented detergents. I use a capful mixed with unscented detergent and it leaves a nice hit of scent. Santal 33 is my fav but I also really like the rose scented one. |

| I wash them. I hate scented laundry detergent, I think it smells terrible. Nothing better than freshly washed us center sheets. |

I use Tide or Mrs Myers, but I once had a bottle of fragranced iron water, and I used it when I ironed the flat sheets and the pillow cases. It’s extra, but very nice.
