Are there group -style math competition for elementary school/middle school kids? I'm looking at moems/kangaroo/math counts and they all look like individual tests. (Team score = sum of individual test scores)
Are there competitions are promote teamwork? I recall from my youth things like the Mandelbrot competition or ARML's power and relay questions, which involve a lot of team work. |

Mathcounts has a team round, where the team members work together to solve problems.
It's a fringe contest, but the only middle school aged contest I can think of that is only a team competition is Purple Comet. |

MOEMS/Math Olympiad has a team round at the tournament.
Math League also does team round, though right now they are mostly online contests that I wouldn't recommend. |
| MS used to have math counts. Idk if any still do. ES with heavy parental involvement used to have math counts clubs. Perhaps Covid was the excuse to drop them. |
Interest level seems to have dropped after COVID. Our chapter went from 20+ schools to less than 10. Any school can sign up if you can find a teacher to sponsor it, or a parent can just go talk to the principal and sponsor it themselves. |
