Hi! We're considering Lewinsville Montessori for our child and are wondering if anyone has any recent reviews. We like what we've read about the school in terms of curriculum etc, but have also seen some somewhat outdated reviews about the lack of communication from the director/admin there. Would appreciate any feedback you have. |
We had our DC there for several recent years. We had no communications issues and found everyone to be friendly and accessible. There is not much Montessori material before age 2, which is as one would expect. Most children seem to leave to attend Kindergarten elsewhere, although that is neither encouraged nor required.
There was an ownership change (for the better) near the start of the pandemic. There have been a range of improvements since that change. As a trivial example, the previous owner would not buy play sand to be put into the playground sand box, while the new owners put play sand in the sandbox very soon after the ownership change. They are the only 12-month Montessori program in McLean/Tysons area, AFAIK, and the only McLean-area Montessori program which accepts children from 3 months. There are some other 12-month daycares in McLean/Tysons that start at that young age, of course. Other questions ? |
