How did kids fare this year in Cornell ED round?

My kid is interested in Cornell for next year.
Strong student but unhooked. Is it better to just apply RD? |

| At our school, Cornell ED unhooked admits actually occasionally occur. Can’t say the same really for other ivies. So I don’t think it’s a complete waste for ED. |

| My Kid did not ED got wait listed RD. So likely would have gotten in ED. She is there now as a transfer. ED if you want it. Kid loves the school. Transferred from a top 4-5 SLAC. No regrets. |

| My DS was waitlisted for Cornell RD last year for Engineering. Hard to believe he didn’t get in with a 4.6 and 18 AP classes but their loss was another schools gain. It all worked out! |
