I just watched this last night and all I can say is
Anyone else watched this yet? |
| I want to but I’m worried it will be depressing. Is it? |
|
With a title this good, I'm concerned the content won't live up to the name.
|
| I am dying to see it... my family is from one of the islands where it was filmed and I have visited many times. Can't wait to see the gorgeous Keem Bay on a big screen! |
OP here. Yes depressing....but in an odd way. It didn't make me depressed, but made me think how depressing life can be. There is JUST ENOUGH humor in it to lighten it up. |
| I think there's already a thread on this. |
| I loved it. |
| I hate when movies leave everything unexplained. I would've quit watching if I'd known there'd be zero explanation for everything that happened. |
Loved it. My family is from Clare Island and Achill. I think the movie isn't depressing if you are familiar with local life. Great acting and beautifully shot. |
| It was funny - until it was not. Gorgeous scenery, but just wow on the ending. |
| Terrible - don't waste your time. This story makes zero sense and is completely forgettable. |
| I love, love, loved it. But I loved In Bruges. Wasn't as big a fan of Three Billboards or Seven Psychopaths so I was looking forward to the return of the Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson pairing. Definitely a lot of nuance and interpretations left up to the viewer. It wasn't forgettable to me but I see how it's a movie that is not going to be some viewers' cup of tea. Loved all the performances but especially the Dominic character (Barry Keoghan). |
| Where is this playing? Is it on a streaming platform or did you all pay to rent it? |
| Still in artsy theaters but also streaming on HBO. |
