How much do you spend on groceries & what is your HHI?

Please help me. family of 5. HHI $450k. What is a reasonable amount to spend at grocery store each week? Where do you shop?

Around $130-$140 at Aldi weekly. (This doesn't include Target runs for diapers.) HHI $160k, 4 people.

It depends on whether you eat all organic or not. And also whether you eat meat or not. And the quality of that meat.

We eat healthy food so we spend way more than most people. But we don’t get sick as often as they do.

We are 2 people and spend about $1k a month.

You sweet summer child. There is no correlation between eating organic and not getting sick.

Family of 4 (and one on the way), HHI $250k, LCOL area. Have been cutting back on groceries and still spending $800-$1000 a month. Earlier today I ran out and picked up a few things - really, odds and ends - and it was $50. Food prices are out of control.

Cough up the numbers, PP. The OP asked for your weekly spending and HHI.

HHI is $160k. Family of 4 (kids are teens) plus two pets. We spend $1000 to $1200 a month on groceries including pet food and non food items like detergent, tp, etc. We eat out once a week and DH buys lunch at work a couple times a week. Those expenses add an additional $500 to $600 a month.

Family of 4 (two daughters). We spend about $350/wk. Income varies. We’re comfortable but watch spending.

Ok, thanks everyone! OP here. I know my spending is too much. I do buy organic produce and meats when I can. I think I’m spending like $600 a week. I’m horrified to say that. I’m shopping at a mix of stores: whole foods, local independent grocery store, co-op, etc. Never been to Aldi and don’t really go to giant chains. I don’t buy much processed, canned, frozen or snack foods. I know I sound ridiculous but I’m not skilled at budgeting or planning. I do need to reduce spending. Anyone use misfits market? Any suggestions for stores, grocery shopping/planning much appreciated.

That is a lot of money. Go to big chains! Store brand milk, butter, olive oil, spices, cereals etc can be small but cumulatively effective ways to spend less. What the heck are you eating every week? Do you find you have a lot of food waste?

You can afford it. No idea what I spend but do Walmart delivery, Aldi's and Amazon Fresh.
