Best Gingerbread Cookie Recipe

I really love Sally's recipe, but the dough can be very crumbly. Does anyone have one they love?

Gingerbread cake box mix modified for cookies. Seriously. Easy to work with and they stay slightly chewy. I'm only sharing this because I want everyone to keep buying the box mix so that it's not discontinued!

Do you mean gingerbread cutout dough, like for gingerbread men? Or are drop cookies okay? If the latter, these are terrific: https://www.washingtonpost.com/recipes/super-sized-ginger-chewies/7207/

I’ve used the gingerbread cookie recipe from the McCormick spice website to make gingerbread men with great success.

Thanks! I'm the PP with the box mix for cutouts but love a soft drop cookie and will try this. Do you use margarine or butter in yours?

Funny you should ask...when I looked at the recipe a few days ago to prepare to make them for Christmas this year, I couldn't remember whether I used margarine in the past. I don't think I did- it's not something that I recall ever baking with. I'm going to make with butter this year. I'm sure they will still be delicious!
