Any Teachers Here Salary Update Yet?

Anonymous
As the title says...has anyone's salary information changed in ERSC? As of 12/17 it is supposed to reflect the COLA and step raise, but I'm not seeing it.

Doesn't show yet, but I suspect it won't until sometime this week.

You won’t see the difference until Jan.

Meanwhile ERSC won’t confirm if my past LOA for cancer disqualified me.

You mean my extra $7 per paycheck? I hadn’t noticed. We deserve raises at least in line with inflation.

Teacher salaries are 15% behind inflation compared to 15 years ago. And we pay 5% more out of our salaries for the pension compared to then. If our next pay raise isn’t at least 10% I am gonna be pissed. PG and DCPS got at least 10% recently and we need to be competitive with the teacher shortage going on.

Do subs get the raise? If so, they could buy a small latte each day with the increase. Not a medium after taxes.

MCPS should be offering that on their own. But MCEA needs better leadership as well. I’m transferring to DCPS next year… so done with all things MCPS.

It'll show up in the Jan 13 paycheck

I wasn't expecting it to show up in the latest paycheck, but we were told it would be reflected in ERSC on 12/17, so that is why I was asking.

My guess is that it will show up in ERSC tomorrow, like how ePaystub is updated on Tuesdays.

OP-It just showed up. Make sure yours is correct!

Not trying to be snarky at all, but just a friendly heads up, it should up Monday....way before they send out that email. You can usually check first thing in the morning. (If I'm wrong and my experience isn't universal...my bad...Just normal MCPS bs then)

Smart to transfer to DCPS. They pay better than MCPS

How much does MCPS teacher get paid in ES, MS or HS?

I just looked at the "my salary information" on the ersc page and saw the new salary I'll get. Of course we'll what that looks like in the paycheck after all the deductions and taxes and everything, lol. And wait until the new health premiums to see the final numbers. It looks nice right now on paper though
