Regular monthly spotting

I'm curious to know if there are any TTCers out there who have regular spotting -- about 5 days after they ovulate (brown spotting, not red spotting). It happens every month around day 17 and lasts for 3-4 days. RE suspects its low progesterone. But, I'm curious to know if there are other folks out there with the same symptoms, and have you gotten pregnant despite the regular spotting?? The RE says it shouldn't affect our ability to get pregnant, but since it hasn't worked yet, I'm not sure I believe him.

I had the same exact issue. Low progesterone turned out to be one of the issues preventing my IVF from working and even with progesterone suppositories, my level was still low. Now, I'm pregnant after RE put me on suppositories 3x a day and progesterone injection every other day. Also, get your estrogen level checked.
