Concealer that doesn’t crease under eyes?

Anonymous
I have crepey, thin white-person skin that crinkles under my eyes. No matter what I do with moisturizer, buffing out with brushes, just using my fingers, etc., I can’t keep concealer of any kind from creasing/collecting in the lines under my eyes.

What am I doing wrong? I never really learned to do my makeup well and am hoping desperately that it’s just me being bad at it, and not how concealer sits on my skin. I’m 42 if that helps.

I just picked up this one, which seems to get great reviews from influencers, although it hasn't arrived in the mail yet so I can't vouch personally.

I think the only way to to fill the creases with something else, then add your concealer on top.

But I will also admit to not being an expert. The way people on social media do their makeup would look INSANE in real life. They are doing camera makeup, which looks so so heavy when you are in person. Remember, they are also using filters a good bit of the time. Even when claiming they aren't.

Good point. Starting with an under-eye cream would probably help.

I've heard concealer serum is good, but haven't tried it yet.

I have this same exact problem and I'm also 42. I'll be following this thread.

I have this problem and basically solved it this way. Eye cream (I like clinique all about eyes) - apply and then let it soak it almost all the way. Then I use Glossier Stretch concealer. It works really well and I don't get any creasing.

You need to set the concealer with powder to keep it from creasing. I like Laura Mercer Under Eye Illuminating Powder (I think that's the name). That should help.

I wish I could get a sample of this. I'm afraid to spend that much money without knowing if it works for me.

I use Vaseline or a highlighting stick under my eyes and don’t use concealer, just my regular foundation, not sure it works, but I’m 52 and just have to deal.

You're using too much. You're not using a primer. Your application technique isn't right for your skin.

Those are the usual culprits.

You can look into undereye filler or toxins if you want a more semi-permanaent makeup-free solution.
