| Child positive. Will stay home. How long is isolation? Do you notify school? |
| You stay home 5 days and yes, you notify the school. |
| Please search the last 2.5 years for information. Good grief. Have you been in a hole for 2 years? |
Gosh so cute how you spelled positive. How clever
|
| Why do people keep coming here to ask this question? Is it just to recreate the endless debates - whether to test, how long to/whether to isolate, who is too selfish, who is too anxious, etc. Why not turn to the cdc, google, or school policy for this information? |
I don't have to tell them anything! Why even involve them in your business? They just make it super inconvenient. |
| Your first mistake was in testing for Covid. |

My kid tested positive this week and we reported it on the MCPS online form. Never heard back. When my daughter had it (beginning of the year) we got an email with the guidelines and her anticipated date of return.
I’m wondering if they don’t care anymore. Which is 100% fine with me. |
MCPS DONt care! Please read it again: don’t care. You’re welcome. MCPS staff |
| Mine was positive two weeks ago. We reported via the form and let teachers know for assignments. Only math gave her HW. You stay out for five days then you're allowed to come back with a tight fitting mask until day 10. |
Parents don't care and demand schools be in person and don't care who gets sick, so MCPS complied to make those parents happy. |
Op used voice to text and has a heavy Transylvanian accent. |

5 days post positive test--completely isolate.
On day 6, you test. If negative, you can go to school in a mask up til day 10. If positive, you stay home and test again on day 7. |
I don’t think that’s right. I think you go back on day 6 in a tight fitting mask - no testing necessary. |
I just checked - you don’t need to test on day 6. You can, and if you’re negative you don’t need to mask. But if you’re positive you need to wear the mask til day 10. |
