I know two kids who applied. One was rejected and the other deferred. Don't know their stats but they are at a good school and I assume had the chops to apply. It's a tough admit.

4.3 GPA/3.9 UW, 1 B+ in AP Physics, 2 A- in AP Latin and AP Calc)
15 APs, 1 DE (6 APs and 1 DE is this year)
Excellent LORs (well, that is what her counselor said)

I heard (but can’t confirm) that due to geographic diversity (only 420ish get in ED), that you need a hook (legacy or URM) in the DC area.
