Office potluck

What the heck do you bring to an office potluck where there's only 12 people so someone will know if you don't bring something.

Wait, were you planning on not bringing anything but were only deterred by the thought of being found out?

Salad, dessert, paper plates/forks/napkins, drinks...

Basically, if you don't want to cook, there're plenty of options to buy.

Cheese and crackers. Easy.

No salad. You can buy, but buy food.

This is OP. I wasn't planning on going to the potluck but because they're only 12 of us they will know if I don't go. Advisor has highly suggested we all participate. So yes now I have to bring something because now I have to go.

I just went to our office potluck. There was a lot of mac n cheese and pasta salad this year.

Didn't they at least divide up courses? You at least need to divide up savory and sweet.

Crockpot of meatballs?
Charcuterie platter?
Dip (like TJ's spinach artichoke or hummus or pub cheese) with crudite?
Bruschetta salad?

I usually leave desserts to the people who actually bake.

Bring something that only you will like and eat. Then you can take it home with you and have it for dinner.

PP here. Mango pie recipe:

Do this and you could actually show off. These are not my kids but I've done this recipe before and it tastes awesome every time. I use unflavored knox gelatine and the mango pulp can be any brand (you can get it at an Indian store or at an Asian store in the Indian section)
