Infertility Support and Discussion
For those who went through a natural IVF, what day of your cycle do you start baseline monitoring?
I did my baseline on day 2 and then returned for monitoring on day 5, 7, 8, 9 and had retrieval on day 11
My first cycle I did a baseline on day 3, then on day 6, 8, 9, 10 (HCG trigger), and 11 with retrieval on day 12 then transfer 5 days later. It resulted in a chemical pregnancy or 5 week miscarriage, not sure of which medical term is most accurate. Second cycle was a baseline on day 2, then monitoring on days 5, 7, 8 , 9 (trigger shot) and retrieval on day 11 with blastocyst transfer 5 days later, we re currently in our two week wait to see if this cycle works out better.
Thank you for responses. 17:34 poster - good luck to you, I hope this cycle is successful! So does it matter whether you will come on day 2 or 3 for monitoring? Looks like I might not be able to come in on day 2.

I think they prefer day 2 but it wasn't a big deal when I did day 3 because my day 1 was very late so both baseline monitoring times were about 48 hours from the first sign of AF. I think there is a little wriggle room say if your AF starts at 11:45 P.M., technically thats day one but if you went in for monitoring the next morning it would be like day 1 cause it was only a few hours since AF started. I'm not sure how much the actual timing matters...Good luck

Since we are probably talking about DF here, I think they always ask you to come in on cd2 for baseline. (I did 2XIUI and 3XIVF there).
But I do know that if you can't make it in...that cd3 is fine too. I think they just want to make sure you are coming in earlier rather than later...just to be safe. |
