Do you have a yacht?

Anonymous
If you have a yacht. I have questions:

What is your HHI? Do you consider yourself Old Money or New Money?

When did you buy your yacht and how much did it cost?

How much do you spend on maintenance and staffing?

When do you get to use it? And where?

What else can you share from your experience as a yacht owner?

Well I live in Annapolis. I’m looking out my window at 5 yachts rn. They’re all owned by neighbors tho. We only charter because the upkeep is such a headache.

The best day of a sailor’s life is when s/he buys a yacht and the second best day of a sailor’s life is when s/he sells the yacht.

None of your business. Old & new money.
None of your business
None of your business
Spring/Summer & Fall all over the world
A major headache for maintenance, and holding staff.

We kept it because of covid. We could travel with minimal staff and get out of our house. Ours was kept in Florida we moved it because we hate DeSantis. It is now in Newport RH.

Boats of all kinds are money sucks. Not a good investment.

OP if you have to ask the questions you asked you can not afford a yacht.
