I'm looking for something I can pour coffee into and take to drink to work, which is 20 minutes away. I have a Zojirushi but I don't like that the bottom of the cap is so much plastic. It's always screaming hot and I also don't like that the inside of the rim (even with lid removed) is plastic, so I taste that when I sip my coffee.
Is there a more perfect coffee vessel? Ideally it would check all these boxes: -stainless or something else that is non-toxic -no weird coating or other elements that will flake or peel -wont retain coffee smell or taste -easy to clean -not made up of a million parts -easy to hold -hold at least 16 oz -keeps coffee hot (so glass is out) -something I can throw into purse without spills (so lidded tumbler styles are out) |

Here is the Zojirushi I have. https://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-SM-LA36AD-Stainless-Mug-Navy/dp/B01L0V0AAW
You can see the thick plastic rim when the top is unscrewed. I hate how much plastic is there and that I have to taste it with every sip. |
