No more TV Shows for me

Anonymous
I’ve come to a point where I’m really not interested in watching tv shows. I’d rather spend more time reading books or other material about interesting things and/or people. Any recommended reading on history (any period, any part of the world), philosophy, technology? Lately I’ve been reading self-help books, so looking to move away from that type of content.

What kind of tv shows do you like? Then we could recommend books in similar genres.

I would make a trip to the library and have a good look through the recent acquisitions shelves and the "3 week loans" shelves and see if anything grabs you

I have found that the book suggestions on goodreads are pretty spot on (Storygraph's aren't as good, in my experience).

You don't have to use goodreads to track all your reading, but if you load a few favorite books in, you can see recommendations based on them. There are also user-created lists for certain tropes and genres. I use them a lot!

I really enjoyed this book - one part memoir, one part philosophy.
