WTF Harris Teeter...!

First of all, the new website shopping platform is atrocious. I can no longer click on an item that's shown on the weekly circular and add it directly to my cart. I must first add it to a shopping list and then my cart...but that function has never worked for me. It also doesn't work for my neighbor.

Secondly, what's with all the products that are now blocked from purchasing online? Ridiculous. Potatoes? Russet potatoes can only be purchased in-store!

And lastly, luncheon meat/cheese can no only be added to your cart in 1-pound increments with the new system.

What? I didn't know this. You should email them and complain.

It’s so bad. My orders I have done are missing tons of stuff and they don’t review substitutions until it’s pick up time. Not really worth it since I end up stopping elsewhere for these items. Not being able to add from the circular is a huge waste of time. I used to pick up a couple times a week and will definitely not be renewing my subscription.

+1. The new platform is awful. I also hate that you can choose your pickup time until after you've spent all the time filling your cart. What if they don't have a time slot I want? Then I've wasted 20min shopping.

I've talked to our local store manager twice and they've admitted that they hate it from their side as well. Once I have time, maybe this weekend, I'm setting up an account to try the Safeway express lane equivalent.

Yes, I've been a longtime subscription holder and won't be renewing in January.

With food prices as high as they are, it's easy to hit the $35 to have the fee waived. Also, the 5% discount on HT brand items for subscription holders has been pointless for months because the HT brand items are always OOS.

It's so annoying to pull up to collect an order and not find out what was OOS until that moment. What's the point of allowing substitutions while ordering if they're going to review everything with me when I pull up? People use grocery pickup services because it's convenient. Having to review items that are out of stock and approve ALREADY approved substitutions, wait for someone to go grab those subs & ring them through, and then deliver them to the car separately is NOT convenient.

I had to grab a prescription at Target and ended up waiting so they could fill another one. I grabbed the two items HT didn't have when I picked up my order and I noticed several items were cheaper there. Bell pepper at Target was 0.85 vs 1.59 at HT. Lettuce at Target was 1.99 vs HT 2.69. Ranch dressing was $3.79 at Target and $4.29 at HT.

I may compare what I just purchased at HT to see if Target comes out cheaper and make the switch.

It’s the deli meat thing that kills me. WTF?

I used to love shopping w/ their App. Totally disgusted w/ the new version and am also going to look into Safeway home shopping.

Yep. I emailed the first day to complain. I couldn’t figure out how to place my deli order ahead. Horrible.

I did a Safeway pick up order for the first time last week. Worked perfectly for me, no complaints.

I feel sorry for the poor HT staff, as corporate has really screwed them with this app right before the holidays.

The only thing I like about it is the label and nutritional info is available now. Otherwise, lots and lots of downsides, it's like they want customers to go running to competitors.

Hmm, I haven't used it in a few month but they used to call me and run through substitutions with me over the phone.

I don’t use the app, just their website to go thru the flyer and that experience sucks now too. What used to be an easy way to go thru and see what deals they have is now endless scrolling and clicks.

Not anymore. You can review it in the app. But often it comes very late.

It’s just terrible. I talked to a staff member who was so frustrated that she was about to quit. Staff hates it, customers hate it. I’m not sure who this is working for.
