Free "Romance" content on Audible

Anonymous
Not sure how, but I discovered this a few months ago. I've learned some things about myself. I'm going to try to keep this clean so I apologize if it crosses a line. Also, I'm going to use weird phrasing so it doesn't get detected by any ...bad word scanner bot.

Have you read and "romance". I'm putting romance in quotes b/c, frankly, I'm listening to books that are not romantic at all.

So far I have really enjoyed:
Southern Gothic bad boy saves girl book.
Two men, one woman and yes,, the men enjoy each other without her. I had no idea I'd fine this hot.
Bad boys and their submitting to the domestic life. Some authors can pull this off, some can't.

Am I the only one to only just now discover this content after having audible for 15 years?

I don't know how I feel about my new fascinations. I assume it's a phase that will eventually pass.

Ahem, we call it smut.

OP, romance is one of the most popular genres in publishing. There are any sub genres, so almost anyone can find something that appeals to them. I personally love historical romance. It’s delightful escapism! One of my colleagues loves “proper” romance (closed door, implied bedroom scenes). Another is all about contemporary.

Audible plus. I only realized when I tried to get a book and it went into my library without using a credit. I only found one other plus book that I wanted to read. But hey, that’s two no-credit books!

I also ran my huge TBR though Libby and found one book. I guess if it’s not straight romance they don’t carry it.

Fake dating is always a fun trope. I like enemies to lovers too.
