| I'm starting to see a couple of other companies make "ultra" tampons -- Tampax Pearl Ultra, Platex Sport Ultra, though I HATE that they use plastic applicators. Has anyone tried them and how do they compare to OB Ultra? Have you come across good "ultra" tampons without plastic applicators? Do you think OB Ultra tampons will be back in circulation? |
| I ended up ordering OB tampons from Amazon as I found no equivalent. Very expensive but what can you do |
Another poster who had to do the same. And for regulars, not ultras. |
| I switched from OB to a cup. After the initial learning curve I've come to love it. |
| Cora tampons are not with any applicators (some are) and can be bought on Amazon. they're non-bleached cotton as well, organic. |
| I don't understand - is there an OB shortage locally? I haven't bought in a few months maybe. |
| I did the Tampax Ultra but I have a very heavy flow and need an applicator. And also I am a super hippie but I could never insert the tampon without getting my hands super bloody when using ultra tampons. I got an IUD and it's the best thing ever. I don't have a period anymore. |
I miss OB ultra

Ugh I’ve seriously used OB ultra for 20 years and this is so annoying. I use Cora super plus but they aren’t as good AND they are hard to find on their own - target usually only has them in a multipack with super.
I truly feel like the only person on earth who uses ultra tampons! I wanted to get some speax underwear to help with additional leak protection from crappy tampons but apparently those contain forever plastics as well. |
| please explain why you like OB. And how heck you get it in there, because I've tried and could never do it. |
Well, all underwear end up in a landfill. |
Sure. but I don’t want BPA on my crotch. So no thanks |
They are much more comfortable than any other brand I've tried. You insert them with your finger. NBD. |
It’s a vagina, you just shove it in there! How do you normally get your fingers in? I’m so sad! I was hoping it was a weird thing with my store. Why are they gone??? |
| I like the Lola tampons and their period underware. |
