My blasts all make it to day 7, but only a couple develop enough to be frozen

I’ve done two rounds of egg retrieval with similar results:
The first time they retrieved 18, 12 were mature, all 12 fertilized. They froze two on day 5, one on day 6, and were watching the rest through day 7. The other 9 were discarded on day 7, but none arrested during the process
The second time, they retrieved 19, 16 were mature and all 16 fertilized. Then same story: they froze 2 on day 5, one on day 6, and the remaining 13 were slow growers but were eventually discarded on day 7.

Does anyone have any thoughts here? My husband’s semen analyses have always been good. I have PCOS - but from talking with other people, this seems like an incredibly low blastulation rate, even with PCOS

What clinic are you with? What is the reason for not freezing the day 7s?

Not OP but I had a similar experience with Shady Grove Fertility. Apparently they just "weren't developing" or whatever.

CCRM won't biopsy and send the samples for PGT if the embryos are of a low grade.

They were able to xfer my 7 day blasts fresh. Is that not an option for you?

Sounds like your clinic might be flushing normal but slow embryos down the toilet. If I were in your shoes, I would be shopping for REs who would freeze morulas and allow me to transfer two at a time.
