Has anyone done a modified natural FET and if so would you mind sharing your experience? (how long the cycle took, results, etc.)
|
I am going a modified natural fet right now. I did baseline monitoring day 2 and then monitoring three other days (cycle days 9, 12, 13). Triggered on day 13, started progesterone suppositories the following day, transfer will be on day 19.

Are there any clinics in the area that transfer over the weekend/allow true natural FETs? I have done multiple modified natural FETs at Shady Grove, but they told me they don't do weekend transfers so you have to take a few days of meds to postpone ovulation if it looks like you are going to ovulate over the weekend. This means you have to have Gonal F and cetrotide on hand in case you need them, which adds a huge expense to the transfer for those of us with no insurance coverage who don't happen to have any leftover meds from retrieval.
It's never been clear to me what a modified natural FET vs. natural FET actually is, but I did one in June this at CCRM. My only drug before transfer was a trigger shot. My transfer was mid-week, but nobody said anything before or during about GonalF and cetrotide. After transfer I was on Prometrium and Estrace.
I did a modified natural FET at CCRM this fall. I took Letrozole CD3-CD8. I had my first monitoring at CD9 or 10. I had a 15mm follicle at that point so they brought me in daily until it reached 22mm and my estrogen was over 120. That timing made my transfer fall on a Saturday. It was fine. They don’t do fully medicated transfers on the weekends but will do it for transfers based on your cycle.
