Hello,
My spouse and teen sons love to read. I’m looking for a fiction book or series with action, international espionage, and humor would be a bonus. Does a book version of James Bond / Mission Impossible / Bourne exist? (I realize some of those are books- looking for other recs.) Thanks! |

The Eight by Katherine Neville
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John Le Carre Airs Above The Ground by Mary Stewart Alex Rider by Anthony Horowitz |
| If they are open to sci fi you might check out the Rook or Bad Monkeys |
| Day of the Jackal would be classic. |

Siro
David Ignatius His books are the most true to life. signed, someone who did that for a living for several years |
| Tom Clancy books are popular w my teen. |
| Hunt for Red October |
| The Daniel Silva Gabriel Allon series. The earlier ones are especially good. |
I saw the heading and came here to say this. Love Gabriel Allon. And Silva is a DC guy. |
| Thank you to all from OP! |

Depends on what era of international espionage they might like.
I find the Alan Furst books incredibly good for describing pre and during WWII espionage. |
Another +1. The last few years' worth have become fairly formulaic, but the series is great. Start with Book 1 and move forward. |
| Not as much action or international spying (it’s more counterterrorism), but lots of humor: the Slow Horses series by Mick Heron. |
ooh old school -- maybe Eiger Sanction, or the Eagle Has Landed? |
| Eye of the needle |
