Best At Home Root TouchUp

Anonymous
Would like recommendations for drugstore root touch-up hair products. I say drugstore because I need to purchase it today or tomorrow. I have the "spray on" version but just not happy with it, except if I'm desperate. I get my hair professionally touched up every 3-4 weeks, problem is I'm attending a wedding this Saturday and I'm one week away from my touch up appointment so I need an at home solution asap.

I know I can google for this but I don't always trust Byrdie's or Marie Claire's or Cosmo magazine's recommendations. Prefer to hear from other women who I know will be honest.

Thanks!!

I like Everpro "Gray Away Root Touch-up Powder" but not sure how available it is on drugstore shelves. I usually buy it from Amazon. They claim the powder is "magnetic" which I don't understand, but it does seem to stay out and blends well.

Clairol Nice N' Easy Root Touch-Up.

None of the sprays/powders work for me.

On this in lieu of going to salon appointment next week? I don’t think you can use demi perm/perm dye then go again in a week. It could damage your hair

This. It could literally make your hair melt if you don’t disclose.

Oh really! I didn't think of that but it makes sense! Thank you for the heads up!

I use this and really like it.. I also get my hair colored by a stylist and it has never been an issue.. although granted I haven't been only one week after application.

This is the best i've found so far.

Thank you! I moved my appt to the 20th so I'm going to go ahead and try this! On my way to Target!

For brown hair the Bumble and Bumble is the best for temporary root coverage! The spray and color stick look so natural and doesn’t flake or rub off.

This is a terrible idea. Use the root spray or chalk to cover up regrowth and wait for your appointment.

Just use a spray and not one of the permanent touch up kits. I like L’’Oreal’s root touch up spray. I can feel it in my hair and scalp but for a one night event it is sufficient.

^^ I have used many sprays & they always wear off.

I highly recommend using a root touch-up kit for best results.

The best one I have tried (and highly recommend!) would be Nice and Easy’s root touch-up kit.

OP is getting a professional touch up next week though. The spray is sufficient for a one night event.
