Chicago natives - what’s a good gift to give

Anonymous
A lot of foods are things that don’t travel well. Chicago dogs, deep dish pizza. The people I know tend to not like popcorn otherwise I would get Garrett’s. Any other ideas for gifts?

Are there other things Chicago is famous for, not just things people from the region would know? I'm visiting friends on the East Coast and I've only heard of Fannie Mae (not the chocolates). Italian cookies, I seem to remember Chicago being known for, is that a thing? But I'm assuming Boston and NYC would have better and more famous Italian cookies, right?

Lou Malnatis ships frozen deep dish pizza (though I doubt it is worth the cost of shipping it).
