Quietly removed? Anyone with insight? |
No one watches Channel 7 |
Looks like he's moved to Philly

This. Boo Sinclair |
Also don't watch any more. Sinclair sucks, and they seem to make all the female anchors look like stepford wives. Don't blame the weather guy for leaving.
Topper rules on wusa! |
He announced one night, maybe last week, that it was his last night and he had the opportunity to go to Philly, will be closer to family. |
Anyone recall Tony Williams? |
Do you mean Tony Perkins? I saw him at a restaurant recently. He looked good. |
To Anonymous- He was the BEST Meteorologist in town!!!!!!! |
That was for Bill Kelly- THE BEST!!!! And probably won't watch Channel 7 any longer!!!!! |
Anonymous: Bill Kelly was the main reason for watching Ch 7. He had the right personality for the job. His leaving was a huge loss for the Station and for the DC viewing area! I, too, will be leaving the station.
|
I saw him with a carboard sign on the side of the road in Greenbelt the other day. |
For all of you saying, “You’re not watching Ch 7 any longer”, you don’t watch it anyway. Who in the hell watches a news network for a meteorologist whose segment is usually 5 to 7 minutes of the hour long program. Knock it off. Veronica Johnson, who took the Chief Meteorologist reigns, is more than capable of the job. I saw her come up in NYC on ABC News Ch 7 there. That was back in the early 90’s. |
I just started watching 7 and also like Veronica Johnson. She announced last week that she is retiring though. I miss Sue Palka from 5. Glad to see Pat Collins finally retiring. Hope he takes his snow stick with him. |
I just the other day saw an ad promoting Veronica Johnson as the station's new chief meteorologist. Are you sure you mean she's the one retiring? Doesn't seem right. She was just promoted in early December. https://wjla.com/news/local/veronica-johnson-chief-meteorologist-historic-announcement-first-alert-weather-7news-wjla-channel7-dc-washington-local-news-history-first-woman-dmv |
