| Is there a place that sells hot cocoa bombs to give as a gift? |
| Pure? |
Natural ingredients (real cocoa etc) |
|
Trader Joe’s, but I wouldn’t say they are “pure” ingredients.
Lots of YouTube videos for making them yourself. You might need to buy a silicone spherical candy mold from the craft store. |
| How many are you supposed to put in the tub? |
| Baked by Yael sells a popsicle stick with a giant chocolate block on the end that you can stir through hot milk to make chocolate. IIRC they have three flavors. |
How many occupants? |
Just make hot cocoa. 1 Tbls sugar, 1 Tbls Dutch cocoa, splash of vanilla, 1 cup milk. The hot cocoa bombs at TJ are 500 calories and 50 g sugar…. And that is without adding the milk |
| I notice this is a hobby businesss/side hustle during the holidays, often advertised on FB and insta. Try searching in your area. So many on Etsy too. Makes it easy to see ingredients and read reviews. |

Where are you?

Sweet Jake’s in Falls Church has home made cocoa bombs. I haven’t had their cocoa bombs but their ice cream and cake pops are great. Plus, Jake’s was founded to help differently abled kids/adults.
“Tucked into a strip mall off Columbia Pike, Jake’s Ice Cream now trains and employs some two dozen adults with disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy to autism spectrum disorder and Down syndrome. There are no job descriptions. Instead, employees of the scoop shop work with on-site job coaches from the nonprofit ServiceSource to learn new skills and progressively master specific tasks. “We want to meet people where they’re at,” Rinearson says. Store managers and parents of some employees also pitch in to help with training.” https://www.sweetjakesicecream.com/confections-cakes |
Jake's was founded by our former eye doctor. Great story and definitely worth supporting. |
