Giftcard at christmas or teacher appreciation week?

My 2 kids have too many special teachers, like those teach them 15 min to 30 min/week in music, PE, art etc. If I only have budget to give those special teachers a small $10 giftcard, when should I do that? Christmas or teacher appreciation week?

I’d just do it now. Maybe you can do another 10 at the end of the year?

Do people give gifts to special teachers that teach once a week? Our classroom only does group guft to the one classroom teacher only.

I think better at Christmas/holiday than teacher appreciation.

I wish all schools did a group gift to avoid this sort of awkwardness.

We do because we can financially and our specials teachers are great. They often get forgotten.

But I think many families don’t.

I’m a specials teacher and don’t expect a gift ever, but it would be a welcome surprise from a kid who really enjoys my class. A card or drawn picture would make me just as happy—I hang them around my room and they stay up all year. It is very meaningful to know a child enjoys your work with them.

We do small gift cards in Dec for the specials teachers along with a handmade card from my kid.

I do gift cards at Christmas. I feel like Tyne schools are already doing other things during teacher appreciation week. I’ll donate to those group things then. But do individual gifts at Christmas.
