Please recommend a store-bought Indian hot sauce

To put on daal, rice, salmon, etc. Bonus points if Wegmans sells it.

Indian hot sauce is not a thing.

If you’re looking for a hot condiment to add to a bowl of dal @ rice, you need achar, or Indian style pickled vegetables. I don’t know if Wegmans sells any but if you have an Indian store near you it’s easy to spot, they usually have a wall of these in many flavors. Mango and lime are the most common.

Hot sauce in India usually refers to Maggi Hot & Sweet tomato ketchup flavored with hot peppers. Used as a dip for pakoras, samosas etc.

You list a Trader Joe’s product as evidence that Indian hot sauce exists 😁.

This is a product that Trader Joe’s blatantly ripped off from its original Indian-American creator. Brooklyn Delhi’s Chitra Agarwal was the first one to sell her roasted garlic achaar. Achaar is traditionally an Indian pickle, not a hot sauce.
You shouldn’t be embarrassing yourself, PP.

Both Wegmans near me (Fairfax and Chantilly) carry Patak's pickles and chutneys.
