Male teachers—what would you appreciate for Christmas?

Are Target gift cards appreciated, or would you prefer Amazon? Movie theater gift card? Food?

Not having to deal with kids moms is enough.

I have taught middle school and high school.

A simple $10 gift card to target or Amazon is best. Starbucks has $5 gift cards that I also like. However, I have always found gift cards a bit impersonal and can be a bit annoying to deal with. I am not sure how gift cards replaced straight up cash over the last 20 years, but that's another discussion in our society...

Honestly though, I enjoy, appreciate, and remember the cards more. Especially if the student writes a personal message and adds a hershey's chocolate to it.

Just a note that a $5 Starbucks gift card might not even pay for a complete drink anymore!

Spouse of a male teacher here. Please don’t give gift cards to ‘crappy’ restaurants like Olive Garden, Applebees etc. We have a ton of these sitting in a drawer somewhere. Amazon gift cards are great. He has also gotten Macys and Bloomies cards (which we have used).
