Pilk, anyone? (Coca-cola + Milk)

Anonymous
Cocacola + Milk. Would you drink it?

(Is this even a thing, like anywhere on earth??)
Anonymous
Of course not. That's disgusting.

Not called Pilk. But Cola Shake. Not sure if it is made with icecream, milk or dahi?

Yes, in Delhi. But Delhi Punjabis will do weird fusion food in the name of newness.

Wasn’t it Laverne from Laverne and Shirley who would drink 1/2 milk and 1/2 Pepsi ? Maybe that’s pilk?

im Pakistani and my mom used to make this.. add coke to a glass if milk. I used to like it when I was a kid. we called it doodh-soda
Anonymous
Nope. That sounds vile, and I don’t drink milk. I might make a nostalgic exception for a root beer float though. Is that close enough?

I'd drink a coke float (aka brown cow).

With plain milk? Eh, I'd give it a try.

Sounds like a utah thing

My parents grew up in Brooklyn and drank chocolate soda (you could buy this in our suburban NY grocery stores at least through the 1980s) mixed with milk - they called it an egg cream.

Mixing soda + dairy isn't really that new.

It's not a far cry from a root beer float - icecream + root beer (the concept of soda + dairy).

And the kids' version of Harty Potter's famous butterbeer is cream soda with whipping cream blended in (or a variation thereof). Again, dairy + soda).

Nope. This has been around for a long time, and I still don't like it.
