Any ideas for a 5th birthday? Would love to do something special, not the usual face painting, balloon twisting, trampoline park, etc. Any suggestions? |
Where are you?
How many guests will you invite? Like 4-5 closest friends or a class of 25 kids? Do you want a drop-off party or will you plan on lots of parents staying? Does your child have any special interests? |
My kindergartener was just invited to a bowling party. I liked the throwback nature of it. |
Also important: time of year? Indoor/outdoor? price range per child you are willing to spend? We live up in the MD suburbs along I-95. We did one at a tumbling gym that was a hit. We also did one at the Baltimore B&O museum for a summer birthday that was a hit. The kids got to explore the museum. They had outdoor rides out in the trainyard. And everyone got to ride on the train for a quick 2 mile round trip (1 mile out and 1 mild back). On the lower end, swimming pool parties are always a hit. We've been invited to outdoor ones in the summer and indoor ones in the winter. The kids really liked the indoor one because the water was warmer. We don't live close, but I've heard that the Cub Run facility in Chantilly is a lot of fun and they have packages where your guests all get access to the pool, slides and water park plus you get a room rental for the food and cake. |
If outdoor, have an animal person come with animals and put on a show. Or have a bubble guy come and do a show and then they let the kids play with huge wands in the bubbles.
If indoor, ice skating, bowling, ASPCA, etc. |
