I had PPD, treated with therapy not medication, and I was very interested in this (would love to help docs learn more about PPD) until I saw this:
“This study will replicate a hormonal state of pregnancy and the 6-week period following delivery. Mood symptoms and hormone levels will be measured throughout the study.” I’m trying to imagine how much money I’d have to be paid to go through that again without getting a child out it, and it’s in the five figures. That’s asking a LOT from those of us who have been there. |

I am sure the hormones were a large part of it but the learning how to take care of a baby, dealing with body changes and healing, and of course the sleep deprivation all contribute too. I am curious how those very real aspects will be considered.
Can someone email to see how much the compensation is? |
| I would never put myself through that again. |
| There is no amount of money they could ever pay me to take part in that science experiment |
