Thinking about getting a mini crockpot but except for appetizer type dips, what do you use yours for?
Wondering if it’s one of those things I would only pull out for the Super Bowl. |
| I use ours for chocolate fondue and sometimes use to scent the air by simmering spices |
|
Mine has only ever been used for a sausage/cheese dip appetizer. So, once a year at most.
|
| I would definitely think it's only use is for dips. So it depends. How often do you like to have a warm dip being served? |
| I gave mine away brand new in the box 10+ years later, so… |
| Agree I only use it 1-2 times a year, for Buffalo chicken dip. I like the fondue and simmering spices ideas PP mentioned, so maybe I’ll use it a few more times a year! |

We use ours (of which we have a few) mostly for the few big “events” we have a year.
Other “off” uses - dips, as posted already, bit often apple cider or similar for the family if we’re heading out and it’s cold. I’ve been known to use it as a scent vehicle too… warm apple cider with cinnamon and oranges, even if no one is drinking it, is a lovely scent for the house! |
| If you want one, head to your local thrift store and you will have your pick. Seriously, whenever I go there are dozens on the shelf and most look unused. |
| I use mine as a simmer pot. Cinnamon, bay leaf, rosemary, cranberry, apple, orange,…. It makes the house smell so good! I’m also a witch, so I do a lot of spell work in mine. It’s easier than my cauldron. |
