Best clam chowder?

Anonymous
Either local or mail order.
My husband is craving it but claims he hasn't had anything great locally...but we rarely eat out. Any recommendations for a special treat for him?

Ooops, forgot to add that the stuff he raves about, he had in Maine a long time ago, doesn't remember the name of the place.

Second the recommendation for Black Salt--the recipe is based on Bob Kinkead's and topped with fried Ipswich clams. Also, sometimes at the Wednesday market at Concord St. Andrews, which Profish attends, they have clam chowder which is good as well. It's not available on preorder.

I had a great bowl of clam chowder at Millie's recently. I was pleasantly surprised because I find their food to be hit or miss.
