I have no power so am listening to the radio for updates on the place crash. They did a story on the Hanafi siege in 1977, saying they were motivated by injustice . They literally attacked a Jewish center, blaming Jews for some movie about Muhammad. When I was in preschool one of the kids’ dads was taken hostage and it totally messed up his life and marriage. A man was killed and wtop was making excuses for them

Yeah... two of my BILs are licensed to fly small aircraft, and one of them nearly had the same accident. Poor visibility will trip up even the most careful and experienced pilot, PP. What should be regulated is the presence of previously rural airports in what is now urban areas. Flights should be heavily restricted or cancelled entirely during poor weather. Don't put it all on the pilots.

It wasn’t poor weather. It was probably going to be IFR anyway because it's dark.

And the airpark isn't an "urban" location.

The crash could well have been caused by an engine failure (especially since there was no fire). Please wait for the NTSB report before rushing to conclusions.

While we are talking about WTOP, why is their advertising so bad? I've come to believe that if I hear an ad on that station, it's definitely an overpriced, useless product. And whats with the erectile dysfunction ads all the time? You'd think all the men who listen to WTOP just can't get it up.

Agree. I can't listen to it most of the time when the kids are on the car.

The reporting is 1-sided, incomplete, and otherwise shoddy . And don't get me started when they report on "studies" and quote a statistic ("Eating 5 pieces of fruits and veggies daily will increase your life expectancy by X%..wow, really? Who knew?).
