| son just decided he wants to apply ED2 with 1510 and 3.8 uw gpa (4.3 w). Please share stats of kids who were accepted or rejected from Washington University in STL. Finances not a concern. |
| DC got in ED1 (not ED2) with 1500 SAT and gpa of 3.75 from very top private (not in DC area). Really enjoys experience there fwiw. Beautiful campus and surrounding area. |
| Check your school’s naviance - DC is a double legacy but decided not to apply after looking at naviance. (They have a 1510 Sat/ 4.39 gpa ) |
Great school ! Excellent chance for an offer of admission based on 1510 / 3.8/4.3. not sure if still need aware, but full pay should be a positive (even need-blind reviewers look up zip code avarage household income). |
| I'm aware of someone with similar stats who was denied ED2 last year. Full pay. |
Lots of unknown variables. |
| Why did your child w the 1510 decide not to apply? |
This is meaningless without identify private/public and county if public. For instance, grades likely too low coming from some MoCo high schools. |
Naviance showed DC needed a higher SAT to get in and they did not want to take it a third time. At least that’s what it is showing for our specific school. |
Higher than a 1510 for Washington University? Isn’t that the average there |
College board says it’s between 1490-1570, so 1510 is still on the lower end. For ED2 DC is looking for more of a sure thing |
Is ED2 harder than ED1 |
| DS admitted ED1 to WUSTL with 35 ACT and a 3.7 or 3.8 from a rigorous DC private. Strong ECs but nothing national level. He's very happy there. |
| The key above is that your DC attended a private school. We can’t compare a 3.7 from that to DMV public school gpas. |
Any idea of how computer science and engineering departments are at Wash U? |
